    SEPT. 6, 2016 — The Business Dynamics Statistics provide annual statistics on establishments, firm startups, and job creation and loss from 1976 to 2014 by firm size, firm age, industrial sector, state and metropolitan statistical area. These statistics provide snapshots of current and historical U.S. entrepreneurial activity, plus geographic and industry detail about where jobs are being created and lost in the U.S. economy.

    From NBC News, Yakima, WA HELENA, Mont. – Governor Steve Bullock today announced that he has activated the Department of Labor and Industry’s Rapid Response Unit to provide resources, training and information to Montanans impacted by the recent closure of the Yellowstone River. The Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission last week closed the river to all recreational activity between Gardiner and Laurel due to the contagious spread of a microscopic parasite killing thousands of fish.

    Governor Hassan Announces Grants for Eight New Hampshire Companies to Train 446 Workers –Building on her efforts to strengthen New Hampshire’s workforce and support innovative, job-creating businesses, Governor Maggie Hassan announced that eight Granite State companies have received job training grants to help train 446 workers. The grants for July total $162,889, and the companies contributed matching funds to bring the total amount for training workers in new skills to $339,437.
