This podcast features three practitioners who discuss how their business services staff align the skills needs of business with workforce development opportunities by elevating communication with employers and assisting with strategies to support their participation in the workforce system.

Aligning the skills needs of business with workforce development opportunities is emphasized throughout the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Business Services engage, enhance, and elevate communication with employers and assist with strategies to support their participation in the workforce system. They note the importance of leveraging partnerships; data sharing: developing online communities associated with state job banks; and engaging the additional partners that are mandated in WIOA.
